This set of photographs explores the theme of symmetry. Each image originates from a single photograph that has been transformed through symmetry, with the use of Photoshop. From a recognizable form, or at the axis of symmetry, there are new formations for our imaginations to interpret freely.
I have photographed trees and their surroundings in my local parks and beaches, close-up nature shots of flowers and plants, and city buildings and their reflections. The body abstracts originate from photographs of parts of the body; such as hands, arms and feet. Some images have been created with the simple repetition of patterns. With others, there are more spontaneous outcomes to the process, sometimes with a surprising final result.
